European ATEX Guidelines for the Valve Industry

The ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, which came mandatory on 1 July 2003, is a directive adopted by the European Union (EU) to facilitate free trade in the EU by aligning the technical and legal requirements in the Member Sates for products intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
ATEX directive also applies to non-electrical equipment such as valves, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators and gearboxes.
