Rubber - Elastomers

CSM (Hypalon™) - Chlorosulphonated polyethylene

Resistant to ozone, weathering, strong acids and bases, heat and oxidizing chemicals.

EPDM - Ethylene-propylene diene

Most effective for applications involving heat, water and steam, alkali, mild acidic and oxygenated solvents, ozone, and sunlight.
Working temperature range: -50ºC to +120º/150ºC (-60ºF to +250º/300ºF), depending on the curing system.

FKM (FPM, Viton®, Fluorel®) - Fluorocarbon

Wide range of chemical compatibility, temperature range, low compression set, and excellent aging characteristics.
Resists mineral oils and greases, aliphatic, aromatic and also special chlorinated hydrocarbons, petrol, diesel fuels, silicone oils and greases, solvents, oxygen, weather, ozone, oils and chemicals.
Working temperature range: -26ºC to +205º/230ºC (-15ºF to +400º/440ºF). For short working periods it could take higher temperatures.

NBR (Buna N, Nitrilie) - Acrylonitrile butadiene

Resistant to fats, oils, moderate chemicals, kerosen, grease and many hydrocarbon. Working temperature range: -35ºC to +120ºC (-30ºF to +250ºF).

CR (Neoprene) - Chloroprene

Resistant to oil and gresase, many hydrocarbons, fats and ozone. Resistant to barnacle growth. It has a very low resistance to mineral oils and is not effective in aromatic and oxygenated solvent environments.
Working temperature range: -40ºC to + 110ºC (-40ºF to +230ºF).

IIR (Butyl rubber) - polyisobutylene

Good resistance to animal and vegetables fats, oils, heat, greases and strong and oxidacing chemicals.

NR - Natural Rubber

Good abrasion resistance, tensile strength and resilency. Suitable for organic acids, alcohols, ketones and most moderate chemicals.
